Aren’t CAPTCHAs an accessibility problem?
Web site accessibility is a very big issue. Adding image CAPTCHAs to web sites makes them inaccessible to visually impaired people using screen readers or braille screens. Mollom allows users to request (English only) audio CAPTCHAs, which can be solved by visually impaired users. But more importantly, only a very small percentage of users will ever see (or hear) a CAPTCHA! Using intelligent filtering techniques, we present CAPTCHAs only to users posting suspicious content. By using Mollom, your website becomes both more accessible and better-protected.
